1. Terms of Engagement

By accessing this website, you agree to comply with these website terms. Any bookkeeping engagement is governed by a separate written agreement that defines the approved scope, deliverables, responsibilities, access, schedule, invoicing and payment terms, change process, and termination rights. Website content and an inquiry submission do not create an engagement.

2. Bookkeeping Scope & Deliverables

Hashbooks is owned and managed by Muhammad Hassan Shakeel and provides bookkeeping services such as transaction categorization, account reconciliation, AR/AP support, payroll bookkeeping support, financial statement preparation, inventory reconciliation, and asset schedules. Hashbooks is not a CPA firm and does not file tax returns, provide audit or assurance opinions, represent clients before tax authorities, or determine country-specific tax positions. Those responsibilities remain with the client and their qualified accountant, CPA, tax professional, auditor, payroll provider, or legal adviser.

3. Accuracy, Auditing & Client Responsibilities

Reconciliations and reports are prepared from client-provided records, platform data, statements, and instructions. Hashbooks applies documented review procedures but does not guarantee error-free records or a particular tax, funding, audit, or business outcome. The client is responsible for providing complete, accurate, and timely records, reviewing unclear items and reports, approving payments and payroll, and obtaining regulated professional advice where required.

4. Confidentiality

Hashbooks treats client financial records, business operations data, and personal information as confidential. Information may be accessed by service providers needed for the agreed work, disclosed with client authorization, or disclosed when required by law. Provider access and data handling are further described in the Privacy Policy and the engagement agreement.

5. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hashbooks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms or our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Hashbooks for the specific services in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hashbooks from any third-party claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your breach of these terms.

6. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

Unless a signed engagement agreement states otherwise, these terms and disputes arising from the services are governed by the applicable laws of Pakistan. Proceedings shall be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, subject to any mandatory consumer, privacy, employment, or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. This clause should be reviewed by qualified Pakistani counsel before it is relied upon for a client engagement.
